Chakras are energy points within the physical body that send and receive vibrational messages that affect our daily lives in different ways. There are seven chakras, each associated with a different part of the body. Each chakra is associated with a different color and aspect of the human experience.
The chakra colors are fairly easy to remember as they somewhat coincide with the colors of the rainbow.
There is a lot of information available regarding each chakra and it's meaning, use, and representation.
Below is a simple guide to get you started. Specific information is available regarding how to cleanse chakras,
which gems and stones associate with each chakra and which emotion each chakra influences.
The first
chakra, associated with the color RED, is called the Base or Root Chakra and is located at the base of the spine.
The Base Chakra represents grounding and the element Earth. This chakra relates to our connection to our
own bodies. When operating properly, the Base chakra should bring health and prosperity.
The second chakra, associated with the color ORANGE, is called the Sacral or Navel Chakra and is located just below the navel.
The Sacral Chakra represents creativity and the element Water. This chakra relates to our emotions and
sexuality. When operating properly, the Sacral chakra should bring sexual fulfillment.
The third chakra is the Solar Plexus Chakra, located just above the navel, near the solar plexus. This chakra
is associated with the color YELLOW and represents our personal power. When operating properly, the Solar
Plexus chakra should bring energy and appropriate personal power.
The fourth chakra is the Heart Chakra, located in the heart. The heart chakra is associated with the color
GREEN and represents love. When operating properly, the Heart Chakra should bring a healthy balance, especially
with love, compassion and centeredness.

intuition and allow clarity.
The seventh chakra is the Crown Chakra, located at the crown, or just above the top of the head. The Crown
Chakra is represented by the color VIOLET or WHITE. The Crown Chakra represents peace, wisdom, oneness
with Infinite, God, and/or spiritual balance and completeness. When operating properly and further developed,
